Getac Achieves EPEAT 2.0 Gold Certification for Rugged Computing Line
Getac Technology Corporation has achieved the EPEAT 2.0 Gold with Climate+ designation for nine of its rugged computing products. As one of the first manufacturers to meet this new, rigorous sustainability standard, Getac has also joined the EPEAT 2.0 Launch Partner Program to champion transparency and responsibility across the electronics value chain.
The updated EPEAT 2.0 criteria demand strict compliance across four critical areas: climate, chemicals, circularity, and responsible supply chains. Additionally, the Climate+ designation identifies electronics that meet verifiable standards for climate change mitigation and Scope 3 carbon emission reductions.
Achieving the Gold tier is a significant milestone in the rugged technology sector, as it requires balancing extreme durability with advanced environmental performance. Getac surpassed the 75% Gold threshold by scoring 83% of the optional points, demonstrating a strong commitment to environmental stewardship without compromising on mission-critical reliability.
